Maths Problem Solving

Today during maths we tried to work our way through the problem below. Pascoe, Heidi and Jordan's group all shared their ideas. All three groups had different ideas but no one has solved it yet. Have a go at home and see how far you get. You'll need to enter the ZONE OF CONFUSION for a while.




Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. The wall is 134cm high. Each brick is 8cm high. The cement between the bricks is 1cm high.  How many rows of bricks are in Humpty Dumpty’s wall?
